The Air Max 720 Gets Flamed

The Air Max 720 in itself is one audacious effort. From it’s futuristic contoured upper, to it’s biggest Air unit to date, Nike really went all-out on their annual marquee AIr Max release. But this next, flamed-covered “Gel” edition might just be is definitely their boldest yet.

Leaked by US11, this graphic-covered pairing is the first Air Max 720 to sport printed imagery on it’s upper, in this instance, on black mesh. The flame-covered pairs sport the bold print across the toebox, but that’s not the only new detail that the pair introduces. Translucent heel pulls and medial lacestays, new tongue branding and textured insoles are all new, while the likes of iridescent-tinted Air units and midfoot plastics retain some of the silhouette’s original cues. Dashed laces, black plastic overlays, and blue liners and support shanks complete the design.
