Nike Ring in the New Year with “CNY 2020” Air Max 90s for the Ladies

2020 is already earmarked as a big year for the world-renowned Air Max 90, a year in which the silhouette celebrates its 30th anniversary. But there’s also another party about to kick off — Chinese New Year 2020 — and Nikewill look to combine the two for one epic celebratory release.

This Women’s Nike Air Max 90 “CNY” arrives in its recently-revived OG makeup, and brings with it is a classic mix of leather and rubbers, but it does come with a handful of new embellishments aligning with the new Lunar Year. Deep “Team Red” leather mudguards mimic the nation’s colors, while barely-there traditional Chinese motifs arrive across the toe box and collar. Like the accompanying men’s pair, it’s capped off with metallic finishes — this time in Silver — and comes complete with the Swoosh brand’s Oriental-style CNY 2020 logo on the tongues and insoles.
