Available Now // Nike Adds Oil-Spill Uppers and Flipped Tongue Tags to the Air Max 90

New Air Max 90options continue to bob up as we head deep into trainer season, the latest literally arriving a little slicker than your average.

Here we see a pair that at first glance is pretty standard, but flipped tongue tags will have you ding a double-take. Then you’ll begin to notice something peculiar going on at the tongue and toe box; an oil spill-like effect crawling across the mesh in a very subtle fashion. The use of thick-cut premium leather across its overlays is yet another elevation in this pair’s subtle-yet-saucy appeal. Oh, and then there are the 3M reflective Swooshes, dressed here in Volt. That same hue hits the aforementioned tongue branding, on the quarter and rear Nike Air detail, in the Air unit, and also on the outsole. Wedged in between all that is a Barely Volt midsole, and the pair is capped off with black eyelets, laces, and outsoles complete the design.

Simple yet stunning, Nike has gone to great lengths in contriving this creation — but as for when you can get your hands on them remains a mystery.
