We’ve seen quite a few themed Air Max 90s of late, including the “Happy Pineapple”, both Fried Chickenand Rice Ballflavored pairs, and the well-documented return of the “Bacon” Air Max 90 collab from DQM to name a few. But it’s not all about food this Spring, with a Football-themed release also expected to feed the appetite of footwear and football fans alike.
The simply-blocked Air Max 90 “Football” relies heavily on black, with the entire upper indulging in the deep, dark hue. It’s here where mesh uppers, nubuck overlays, plastic pieces, and patent leather mudguards each provide distinct and subtle shifts between sections. In stark contrast, white liners and laces mirror the midsoles beneath, while a vibrant flash of orange underfoot is the beneficiary of the monochrome above. Finally, football-textured Swooshes and tongue tags above link the pair back to the gridiron, the latter complemented by unmistakable white stitching to complete the design.
