It’s always a pleasant time of year in late February, a time where sneaker brands begin to unveil their softly-hued releases for Spring. Easter palettes and lightly saturated colors bring an overwhelming sense of anticipation for much warmer weather — something we’re all looking forward to. The next to appear is a perfect example of a Spring staple — a tonal mint Air Max 90 — but despite its simplicity, it arrives elevated through some finer touches.

Colorwise, it’s as simple as it gets; a completely tonal mint green upper is met by white midsoles, light green outsoles, and slightly more saturation on the tongue and heel branding hits. The latter is embellished by a decorative floral design — also tonal. While that gout our curiosity, it was the construction that gained our attention. A highly sueded, thick leather upper is met by subtle changes to heaver suede at the Swoosh and vamp — all materials that will look better with wear.

Though seasons come and go, this simple-yet-stunning Air Max 90 will be a pair that remains in vogue for each and every Spring to come. Though a release date is yet to be revealed, pairs have already become available at select markets in Asia, so a Stateside release shouldn’t be too far into the future.
