Nike is Getting Nostalgic with these “Mix Tape” Air Max 90s

8-Track Trainers.

Nike is getting nostalgic on the Air Max 90 this Summer, giving the retro runner a “Mix Tape” makeover.

For those who can vividly remember the early 90s, there was nothing quite like a self-made Summer mixtape to bring on the season. Your favorite tracks compiled, ready to rock in the 8-track became the soundtrack for your Summer — and still, to this day, we bet that those tracks will always take you back. Now, Nike will be bringing back those memorable days with a special edition “Mix Tape” Air Max 90 pack, which not only sports hand-written track listings underfoot but Sides A and B on each pair. I’m gonna bet a lot of people reading this won’t know what that means, nor the tongue’s 33 1/3 RPM — the speed at which a record LP plays. Those track listings actually spell out the sneaker’s main features, from “Moonlanding” represented on the medial panel, corked insoles, “OG Ostrich”— the leather used on the Swooshes — to the two colorways “Lemon Frost” and “OG Infrared”

Take a peep at both the “Lemon Frost” and “Black Infrared” Mix Tape Air Max 90s below, with pairs said to be limited to just 7500 pairs — we’re unsure if that’s for both pairs total or 7500 units per colorway, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.
