Nike is gearing up its releases for the Air Max 90ahead of its big 30th birthday bash, and a big part of that is the return of the OG design. The return of the midfoot stitching, lower cuts on the toe overlays and mudguard, and a return to lower collars are being seen on almost every new 90 to surface, including this tonal “Fade to Black” Pack.

Arriving in triple white, triple grey and triple black, the trio evoked memories of Nike’s tribute collection for Kobe Bryant back in 2016, which offered up every Mamba in a very gradual white-to-black gradient. That pack was 13-pairs strong, so the shift in color from sneaker to sneaker wasn’t as obvious at these three, but you can see the correlation. These join the return of the OG Air Max 90 “Infrared” in what will be a big year ahead for the silhouette — so stay tuned, it’s going to be epic.
