Banging “Black Grape” Returns to the Air Max 95
I bet you’d look Grape in these! 🍇
The beloved “Black Grape” colorway has graced a handful of Swoosh silhouettes over the years to high acclaim, one of which was the Air Max 95 back in 2014. And now, just five years later, it returns to Sergio Lozano’s masterpiece with an all-new take on the classic colorway.
The predominately black pairing skimps on — but uses effectively — the teal and purple accents forever associated with the colorway title, instead opting to focus on the sneaker’s profile paneling. The pair serves up a trio of textured tonal grey overlays, cascading from dark grey to light, sandwiched between the stark blacks of the sole unit and upper overlays. Up top, vibrant teal lacestays truly pop, while the more subdued Court Purple rides the tongue, sock liner, and Swoosh in an obedient manner. Completing the design are smokey Air units, which hide away purple support shanks, 3M-speckled laces, and vibrant Teal heel accents.
A release date is still TBA, but in the meantime, you can take a peep at the official image set below while you await more info — but expect a drop to land on Nike.com over the coming weeks.
