Translucent TPU Overlays Reveal Graphic Uppers on These Air Max 95s

The celebrations continue for the 25-year-old Air Max silhouette, and in doing so by adding new features and finishes. The in-house designers at Nike HQ have delivered something a little different on this latest release, offering a textural and visual delight that may be missed at first glance and have fans of the silhouette eager to get their hands on a pair.

The beautiful lines of the Air Max 95 have remained relatively unchanged, yet the predominantly black upper is comprised of smokey patterned nylon which hosts black leather overlays located on the toe box and lace stays. Most intriguingly, it’s the fully-translucent TPU overlays that steal the show, covering the smokey motif resulting in a unique aesthetic that will surely turn some heads. At the foundation of the design is a black mid and outer sole that envelops an “Aurora Green” Air unit and simultaneously provides a comfortable ride, completing the look is the aforementioned aurora green which saturates the branding located on the tongue, heel, and liners.

Retailers size?has confirmed a September 12th release date for both pairs, though a Nike.com release is yet to be announced.
