Though its own line’s releases are nowhere near as popular, Nike’s beloved ACG division has found itself an abundance of new fanfare thanks to a series of modern homages — mostly by-way-of the revered retro Air Max line. Now, having just been revealed in an ACG Terra-inspired take, the Air Max 97 returns in yet another outdoorsy offering, this time toning things right down in a palate of black, teal, brown, and muted volt.

Black, which makes up most of the sneaker’s construction, graces the pair’s mesh upper, tongue, liner, mid-panel, and 3M reflective overlays. it’s joined by some very subdued shades of teal and brown that ride the lowermost overlays and mudguard — the latter in a supple suede — before being spruced-up in a faded volt at the pulls, embroidered branding and rope lace fleck. Underfoot, you’ll find a solid grey sole unit, the midsole flecked with black in true ACG styling, and Air supports shaded in teal.
