My calculations suggest that these are fire! 🔥
Thought you saw the last of Graph Paper in 8th-grade math? Think again. Nike will be releasing a very technical edition of the Air Max 97 that’s sure to please architects and designers alike. Joining the pack’s recently revealed Air Max Plus, this “Graph Paper” Air Max 97 takes us all back to school, sporting a vintage Nike Logo design on the lateral panels in a balanced-out style familiar to OG designers and mathematicians. Nike takes a literal approach to the theme with it’s insoles, as each inner comes printed with a grid paper-like effect. But the math-tacular makeup doesn’t draw the line there (now that’s a clever pun!) with cross-hatched ripstop underlays continuing the theme up top.
Supporting the graphical theme comes two-toned, vintage cursive Nike-branded lower overlays in red and black, with the two colors appearing again at the outsole, tongue tag, and pulls. Completing the design is a stark black liner, white midsole, and red-filled Air Max unit.
Pairs of the “Graph Paper” Air Max 97 are tipped to land at select Swoosh stockists and Nike.com over the coming weeks, so be sure to keep your eyes locked on our Nike Release Dates Calendar for drop-date updates!
