Nike’s Air Max 98 returns once more this Summer, with this equal parts bold and subdued “Phantom Volt” iteration available in stores now.

Anchored in summit white mesh, the Nike sneaker ushers in ultra-light beige nubuck overlays and mudguard, with the latter encasing the pair’s white leather wrap-around panel. Liners, tongues, laces, and midsoles all arrive in that palate too, before the pair gets adventurous with stark contrasting hits of jet black and vibrant volt. The former hits the medial leather overlay, Swoosh branding, eyelets, heel pulls, and rubber outsole, while the latter strokes the upper’s embroidered detail and the Air Unit’s support shanks.
