The Nike Air Presto is finally getting the chance to celebrate its belated 20th anniversary in 2021, with last year’s party postponed in part to COVID. Alas, it was worth the wait, with the silhouette flooding the market in both simply-blocked and special-edition options alike. The next leans more towards the former, though its thematic is a brassy one: The Nike Air Presto “Joker”

This option takes an oft-seen schematic and applies it to Tobie Hatfield’s masterpiece, in a fairly straightforward fashion. Though the DC villain is unpredictable, audacious, and utterly insane, this colorway of the Presto is refined — yet resolute. An upper of the madman’s signature purple suit is met with black tongues and quarters, both stitch on by overclocked stitchwork in volt. The vibrant hue returns again across the insole textile, and is met by equally bright white caging and midsoles. A wry Joker smile is ostensibly noted at the midfoot Swoosh in red, and the pair is capped off by black rubber outsoles, toe caps, and laces.
