Over the years, Nike Basketball athletes have continued to defy the laws of gravity around the rim. From Vince Carter’s Slam Dunk Contest win, way back to MJ’s free-throw line dunk, Nikehas been on their feet. For decades, the brand has been cultivating a solid back catalog of dunks, and now the all-new AlphaDunk “Library of Bounce” line looks to honor some of the Swoosh’s most memorable Air moments. And it wouldn’t be a catalog without the world’s most famous dunk; Vince Carter’s Olympic Games Dunk of Death.

In case you need a reminder of VC jumping over 7-foot-2 Frenchman Fredrick Weis, here’s the epic slam from SIX different angles:

Aside from the USA uniform-themed colorway, there are a handful of other embellishments that shout out that epic dunk; the insole print reading “Dunk of Death” — including the official date and time of death for Weis — and a special Team USA badge on the right shoe’s medial heel. The pair also shouts out the Nike Shox BB4 through its use of fanned stitching on the heel overlays, mimicking that of the iconic hoops sneaker which also made its debut at the Sydney Olympics.

Take a peep a the Nike AplhaDunk “Dunk of Death” below, and pairs have been reported to release on August 9th at select Swoosh stockists like Foot Locker, as well as Nike.comfor $170.

In related news, Aaron Carter’s EPIC mascot dunk from the 2016 NBA Slam Dunk Contest is also honored with its very own AlphaDunk in the “Library of Bounce” series.
