Nike Add Some Heavy Metal Muse to the Blazer Low ’77

Ever since the BAPESTA forced Nike’s hand to experiment with their Air Force 1 (and subsequent classics), the Swoosh has slowly-but-surely delivered releases featuring some wide-ranging inspiration. As of late, anything and everything has been on the table, from the recent coffee roasting releases to last year’s Heavy Metal-inspired “Euro Tour” collection. In 2021, Nike will look to revisit the rock theme, with this Heavy Metal-inspired Nike Blazer Low the latest to appear with lightning bolt Swooshes.

Despite honoring one of the most aggressive music genres of all-time, this Blazer Low is rather understated. Ignore the striking Metallica-like Swooshes, and you’ll see a simply put-together release. White leather uppers are met with staple sail sole units, while black leather in the rear is mundane as it gets. In true Metal defiance of conformity, there are a few other tweaks that take the pair up to level 11. New mesh tongue sport special tongue taping, while electric Lime Glow branding and outsoles amplify the pair’s presence. Then there’s the championing feature — the modified Swoosh — appearing disjointed on the profile panels in teal nylon.

Though a drop date for the pair has not yet been confirmed, you should expect to see pairs rolling out at select Swoosh stockists soon. Until then you can take an official look at the pair here below, and make sure you’re giving us a follow here on our official Twitter account for further updates.
