Nike’s Blazer Mid is — dare I say it — blazing a new trail this year, thanks to concerted efforts by the brand’s special project division, which has lent the timeless silhouette to the creative minds of OFF-WHITE and Sacai for an injection of hype. The latter contributor’s upcoming black/white.grey offering has acquired plenty of attention, and now Nike looks to dish out a similarly-colored iteration of the more accessible ’77 Vintage silhouette.

Utilizing a mix of Cold Grey, Summit White, and Black paneling, Nike has mimiced the Sacai effect, without ging all-out on double layering. Oversized Cream Swooshes, tongues, laces, and sole units offset the darker shades, while the vintage tongue branding, exposed foam tongues and eroded Nike heel detail adds a bit of the OFF-WHITE-like deconstructed flair to the mix.
