The Nike Dunk Low “Athletic Department” Drops May 16

Privy to some of the best-themed collections Nike Sportswear has to offer, the Nike Dunk Low has been included in everything from the Chinese New Year collection to the brand’s HBCU series. More recently, the silhouette has surfaced as part of an impending “Athletic Company” collection — and now this new Nike Dunk Low “Athletic Department” that remembers the old school college sports – and it does so in vintage tooling.

Anchored by an off-white canvas upper, mid-grey leather collar, and a set of soft grey suede overlays, the pair’s monochrome base is amped ups by bold red cracked Swooshes that buy into both the collegiate and vintage-look themes. Laces and midsoles receive that old-school sail tint, with retro-inspired college athletic branding on the insoles confirming the pair’s retro story.
