Forming part of Nike’s new N. 354 label.

Revealed earlier this month as part of Nike’s newest conceptual endeavor, the N.354 is arguably the most audacious of the lot. Pieced together from prototypes hidden away within Nike’s extensive archives, each addition to the base silhouette represents a trial — an initial attempt at solving an athletic problem. Some of these experiments, like the Huarache bootie, quickly evolved into famous Nike silhouettes, while it took others — including the first Shox — more than a decade to go from the first try to finished product. The N. 354 series looks to utilize some of these trials, whether it be a success or a failure, to spark new ideas that explore and push the boundaries of footwear design. Simultaneously standing for the past, present, and future, the mark encourages an unapologetic celebration of raw ingenuity.

First-up for the inspired series of sneakers is the Nike Air Force 1 Low— a perfect starting point — and an all-new Drop Type LX, inspired by an All Court and Blazer hybrid. each sporting an array of old and new tech add-ons, of which will surely be explained by, and linked to certain silhouettes by the Swoosh over the coming weeks. Until then, take a look at the tech-packed pairs below, with the AF1 hitting select stores like Noir Fonce on June 28th, and the Drop Type LX arriving at 43einhalb the same day.

Update 06.22.19 Following an official look at the N. 354 Air Force 1 and Drop Type LX, a third silhouette has been revealed; the Nike Huarache EDGE. A release date for this pair has been locked in at Finish Line for the 28th, too — but there’s no word on the pair’s Nike.com release, so keep it locked on HOUSE OF HEAT for more updates!
