Boston-Based Bandulu Brings its Flair to the Nike Kyrie 5
Bespoke by Bandulu.
With speculation growing about Kyrie Irving’s future with the Celtics, perhaps this all-new collaboration with Boston-based brand Bandulu will be his last encounter with Bean Town.
Known for upcycling vintage apparel from Nike and other brands to create brand-new handmade pieces that have been spotted on the likes of Drake, Bandulu has opted to apply their DIY ethos liberally to the Kyrie 5. The pair, which surfaced late yesterday, sports a cream base covered in off-the-wall embroidered paint splatters, with some dripping down from the ankle to the midsole. More embroidery makes its way to the medial Swoosh, “Kyrie Irving” forefoot Flytrap detail and co-branded heels. Soft olive green liners, tongues and co-branded tongue tags add intrigue, while a clean cream midsole and blood red outsole.
