First Look // Nike Kyrie 6 “Bruce Lee”
Racking up a cool 21 points off 10/11 shooting in his return, it’s good to have Uncle Drew is back in business —and boy did we miss that silk on the floor. But that’s not the only Kyrie on the comeback, with another “Bruce Lee” sneaker on the way. Of course, the colorway famously belongs to Kobe Bryant’s signature line, but Irving had homaged the Laker great with a “Mamba Mentality” Kyrie 3 back in 2017 that donned the iconic Yellow, Black, and Red color combination. Kyrie’s follow-up effort doesn’t deviate from that either, but it does come in vastly different proportions, with red the primary plater in this “Bruce Lee” Nike Kyrie 6. Black plays a heavy role, too, found on the heel piece, liners, tongues, midfoot strap< Swoosh and sole unit, while golden yellow plays the smallest, yet most noticeable role on the lateral claw marks — a shout out to the aforementioned Kyrie 3. Interestingly, the colorway is said to be inspired by a similarly-blocked Kyrie 3 “Mamba Mentality” sample that never made it to production.
