The Nike Kyrie 7 “Hendrix” — aka “Creator” Arrives in Asia Next Week

Having already peeped a first look at the impending Nike Kyrie 7 last month, hooper around the globe have been waiting in anticipation for supplementary color options to surface. Now, a mere four weeks after a first peek, a second pair has arrived — and it appears to take inspiration from one of the world’s most influential rockers. A first glance at this Nike Kyrie 7 “Hendrix” immediately evokes memories of the Hall of Fame singer/songwriter, who’d frequent the stage in a wide varitey of colors and psychedelic prints. This pair in particular serves an ostensible nod to this image of the great below, who’s belting out a tune on the six-string in an orane, yellow and purple get-up.

For the sneaker, a trippy purple upper is emblazoned with Kyrie’s All-Seeing Eye motifs throughout, with medial ankle panels arriving in a textured maroon fabric, tongues in a yellow waffle, and rear panels in a hallucinatory warp pattern. The latter is also adorned with a motif that serves a musical and street art duality, and is joined by teal rear pulls and orange liners above. Underfoot you’ll find a grey, red, and black sole unit, with forefoot teeth arriving in much the same fashion. Completing the design is a plastic midfoot Swoosh in black, and Kyrie tongue branding in midnight green.
