Nike Officially Unveil the LeBron 17 “I Promise”

LeBron James’ dedication to bettering the lives of underprivileged youth is unmatched. Hell, the guy even built his own damn school, a school that offers free tuition to the University of Akron for every graduating student. So when LeBron said he’d promise to be the best role model he could be, on and off the court, he meant it. Now, the empowering campaign returns to the King’s signature sneaker line, with the Nike LeBron 17 “I Promise” set to hit stores this month.

The sneaker is, in particular, inspired by the I Promise School in Akron, Ohio, fueled by LeBron James’ commitment to improving education in his hometown. Like last year’s release, James’ passionate optimism is characterized in the shoe’s colorful, kaleidoscopic upper and outsole. The LeBron James Family Foundation crown features prominently on the tongue, while aspirational phrases, such as “I promise I will dream big,” appear on the laces.
