Nike’s MX-720-818 Honors the OG Air Max 95 “Neon” for its 25th Anniversary

Inspired by the Air Max 98, and having tributed the OG Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet”, Nike’s MX-720-818 knows and recognizes its heritage. Now it looks even further back in the vault, assuming the aesthetic of everyone’s favorite Air Max 95 “Neon”, in this, the silhouette’s 25th anniversary.

Although it doesn’t don the signature gradient, the pair’s black, grey and volt makeup is unmistakable. Add to that 95-inspired tongue tags, and you’ve got yourself one homage-packed sneaker. Mixing things up ever so slightly is the inclusion of block-lettered “NIKE” branding on the medial overlay, and the introduction of a soft green along the lacestays, heel pull and underfoot gives the pair just enough point of difference to make it it’s own.
