Nike SB has always been on the edge of controversy when it comes to inspiration; Namely for it 4/20 releases, but also liquor, smoking — hell, even waffles. Now, another reference to taking takes shape on the skateboard division’s most beloved silhouette, with this “Phillies Blunt” SB Dunk High heading your way this Summer.
Paying homage to one of the biggest names in tobacco, this Dunk dons the Sail and Crimson found on the world-famous Phillies Blunt packaging. Its joined by cigar paper-brown on the liners, extra laces, and around the Bright Crimson Swoosh, while heavily tumbled leather uppers arrive in white, and overlays in sail suede. Small pops of Royal Blue arrive on the tongue and midsole stitching that’s akin to the packaging’s “Guaranteed Fresh” claims, and the pair is complete with White midsoles and Crimson rubber outsoles.
