Unveiled yesterday as part of Nike’s newest conceptual footwear pack, the Signal D/MS/X is — apart from being a mouthful to pronounce — is one of the brand’s most unique designs to date. It is the culmination of Swoosh running designs from the brand’s storied past and ultra-futuristic present, and today we have our best look yet at all-new lifestyle silhouette, yet heavily influenced by its performance DNA.

Two of the first colorways to arrive will be the bold “Guava Ice,” which mixes vibrant hues against earthy tones, and a more minimal “Red Orbit,” which pairs bones and white with colorful OKC-themed accent hits. Like the VaporMax2019, it’s mesh base arrives enclosed in a translucent sheath from the toebox to the midfoot, which held in a place by a wraparound heel piece. The chunky lacing system pokes through this overlay — again, similar to the VaporMax 2019 — to add extra layering elements to the silhouette. Oversized midfoot plastic shanks bridge the gap between the split two-piece midsole, forming the most simplistic element of the intricate design.

Both of these heavily performance-influenced Nikes are set to release at retailers across the globe on September 5th.
