It’s been a minute since we saw the Nike VaporMax Plus arrive in new colorways — mainly because the silhouette is not considered a wet-weather specialist — but now Nike has just dropped two new color options to keep on ice for next Summer. First up is a vibrant-yet-basic University Red and Black option, that pairs an all-red neoprene upper with matching Swoosh branding and midfoot shanks, with the VaporMaxsole unit, midsole piece, plastic caging, heel overlay, heel pull, laces, and liners all arriving in jet black.
The other option is a little more colorful, taking on a color scheme that’s reminiscent of Optimus Prime from TV’s Transformers. It’s upper arrives anchored in light grey, as is the cage overlay, with contrasting black on the midsole piece, heel overlay, liner, and laces. Colorful hits arrive in red at the sole’s forefoot, royal blue in the rear, along with a splash of yellow on the midfoot shank.
