Nike Waffle Racer Crater Comes-Up in “Triple Black”

The Nike Space Hippie line introduced eco-friendly Crater Foam tooling to the world, but it’s been far from the only collection to assist NIKE, Inc. in its “Move to Zero” campaign. Among the silhouettes that have indulged in the “trash transformed” solution is the retro-inspired Waffle Racer Crater, which has just appeared in thie staple “Triple Black” colorway.

Like the majority of past drops, the pair arrives with the thick-set sole unit paired against nylon uppers and multi-material overlays. This time, though, the above is void of any color — even the midsole is painted in jet black. Nubuck overlays at the toe and heel provide the pair’s darkest pops, while leather Swooshes and textile mudguards are made in a tone almost identical to the aforementioned upper. Branding is murdered-out at the tongue, too, with the only hits of hue coming by-way-of the Move to Zero’s signature finishes, the Crater Foam, and yellow-tinted insoles.
