The Kobe 4 Protro “Carpe Diem” Arrives June 1st

Seize the Day.

The Kobe 4 Protro series is showing no signs of slowing down, with 2009’s Nike Kobe 4 “Carpe Diem” scheduled to return this Summer. It follows the news from earlier this week of the beloved “Del Sol”iteration of the Kobe 4, and the Hornets-themed “Draft Day,” which released during All-Star weekend in Charlotte.

The Latin-titled Laker-themedNike Kobe 4 Protro is set to arrive in all of its OG glory, featuring a black leather and textile upper with its signature Flywire technology in the profile vamp. Bold gold pops on the side Swooshes, liner, laces, and quilted ankle, as well as the tongue’s Carpe Diem badges. The luxurious finishes continue on the toe, where reptilian-styled patent leathers feature prominently, and the pair is capped off with purple heel locks — complete with Kobe’s John Hancock — grey midsoles and off-white outsoles.

As of now, a confirmed release date for the Nike Zoom Kobe 4 Protro “Carpe Diem” has yet to be announced, but you can expect these to land at select Swoosh hoops houses and Nike.com this Summer. Until then, grab a detailed look at this year’s retro below, courtesy of @HanzuYing.
