After being officially unveiled last month, the duo Slam Jam x Nike Dunk High drops are halfway done, with the SJ-exclusive “Pure Platinum” an instant sellout back on October 3rd. Now, just days away from the follow-up release, official images of the White and Black option have appeared.
The pair’s clean white leather base enables the jet black suede overlays to pop in what is the most simplistic elements of the release. With dual-sided laces that alternate color as you loop through, translucent midsoles, and hard plastic Swooshes quickly reminding us that this isn’t just a run-of-the-mill release. In signature Slam Jam stylings, founder Luca Benini flips the tongue logos, tacks on the store’s signage at the added rear heel/Swoosh piece, and adds singe file perforations down the toe boxes and along with the lower quarter paneling. The pair is then complete with special graphic insoles and a classic black rubber tread.
