Available Now // Nike Adds New Perforated Leather Uppers to the Air Max 270
Did anyone else just get nostalgic?
Leather trainers? Well, this is something we haven’t seen in a long, long time. That is, of course for old school retros. But when it comes to new Air Max models — or any other post-2014 Nike trainer for that matter —they’re typically found in Flyknit or some other form of mesh textile.
For this new take on last year’s new-to-market Max, the Swoosh is calling in the classic design cues like the leather paneling of yesteryear, along with the inclusion of micro-perforations on the majority of the trainer’s white upper and a classic White/Black outsole combo. Heating up the monochrome base is a bold hit of Habanero red on the sneaker’s oversized Air Unit and heel tab branding.
A release date for this throwback 270 was not attached to the official set of images, but you can expect pairs to arrive at select retailers and Nike.com over the coming weeks.
