Air Force 1 High “Mars Yard” Channels the Tom Sachs Sneaker

With aftermarket prices in the thousands, it should come as no surprise that Nikeoften looks to the Tom Sachs Mars Yard for some coat-tail-riding revenue. Recently, we saw the signature tan, beige and red colorway hit this Air Max 270 React to a sell-out result, with the latest instance occurring on this ladies-exclusive Air Force 1 High “Mars Yard”.

The high-cut and utilitarian straps add an overall industrial-like feel, which makes the pairing even more fitting. Here, the release utilizes the familiar Tom Sachs tones, with a creamy-white leather upper, overlays of warm beige — each appearing in varying textures. High-rise quarter panels are prepared in a smooth leather finish, as are the Noble Red-rendered leathers at the branded overlays and Swoosh sets. The remaining leathers at the midfoot to toe are finished in a lightly-pebbled leather, while the beige laces contribute to a tonal look to match the uppers. The stark white sole unit adds contrast that isn’t found on the OG pair, while red returns again at the insoles and dubraes to complete the design.

This refreshing new interpretation of the popular colorway and an even-more popular silhouette has already found its way to the eBay aftermarket. If you’re waiting for an official Nike.com release, you’ll have to wait a while as a date has not yet been specified. Until more news develops, enjoy an official look at the pair here below, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
