Paige Bueckers of the WNBA's Dallas Wings is the newest member of the LEGO® family.
While it's unclear how the 24-year-old will work with the company to "empower creativity through play," the deal shows The LEGO Group's commitment to women's athletes and younger audiences. Bueckers joins fellow WNBA star A'ja Wilson as LEGO® Partner; Wilson has starred in content developed between the German toy manufacturer and Nike, Inc.
News of Bueckers signing a deal with The LEGO Group arrives shortly after the Swoosh conglomerate filed a trademark application for "a bucket design incorporating the stylized letters PB within the design." This trademark seems to cover a logo Nike has used on Player-Exclusive (PE) product for Bueckers and suggests the Minnesota-native will be one of the brand's next signature athletes.
