LaMelo Ball’s PUMA MB.01 “Buzz City” Releases February 4

Following up on his debut effort in all-red, LaMelo Ball’s signature PUMA sneaker will return next month in a scheme that honors his Charlotte Hornets, with the Big Cat officially unveiling the PUMA MB.01 “Buzz City” today.

Co-designed by LaMelo, the PUMA MB.01 incorporates his personal style throughout the shoe from bold color choices to intricate unique details, including an artistic outline of flames shooting down from the ankle collar that lines up to Melo’s famed rocket ankle tattoo. The tongue of the shoe includes LaMelo’s “Not from Here” creative and the outsole showcases the word “rare,” which describes his talent on the hardwood.

The color scheme for this release is fairly straightforward, with an all-black base popped with Hornet’s aqua-blue hues across the ankle embroidery, and tongue, vamp, and forefoot branding. There’s a barely-there “RARE” wordmark underfoot, too, and the pair is capped off with special galaxy-print insoles.
