MUNDIAL magazine might've started out as a one-off issue to commemorate the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but it's become a go-to source for just the right amount of football. Its quarterly issues consistently sell out, highlighting numerous aspects of the beautiful game. Now, the publication has its own PUMA King Top collaboration.
Teased in parts over the weekend, the special edition firm ground boot is now available via PUMA.com and specialty football shops. The premium collaboration features a synthetic K-BETTER upper constructed with 60% recycled nylon, an animal-friendly solution that doesn't sacrifice ball feel and comfort. The studs underfoot can be used on both firm and artificial grounds, with a singular "Poison Pink" stud at the forefoot harkening back to past PUMA King offerings. The rosy tone also animates the Mundial-branded inner lining and magazine-rack-reminiscent packaging.
Other special details on the King Top project include Mundial text at the lateral mid-foot and on the outsole. Manchester's coordinates are also stamped on the fold-over tongue's underside, honoring the magazine's home city. A 10 figure appears on the spine as a nod to a decade of the publication's run.
Pairs of the special edition boot are currently available via PUMA.com for $160. Enjoy product shots from Pro:Direct Soccer below.
