Unless you’re still watching Jane Fonda home workouts on VHS, you really can’t get any more 80s than this. PUMA, an 80s icon in its own right, is teaming up with the classic puzzle game Tetrisfor a two-piece pack of sneakers.
In a Tetris Tweet back in February, PUMA’s Big Cat logo is seen next to the Tetris branding with the caption reading “PUMA x TETRIS releases worldwide October 2019.” along with a now-deleted tweet that revealed the surface of the outsole of the shoe that resembled Tetris blocks:

That shoe was the RS-X, a variant of the 1986 Puma Running System, a sneaker that debuted just two years after the video game it’s celebrating. But since those first looks appeared, we’ve seen nothing. Until now.
We’ve got out filthy little hands on the official images, which now includes a second sneaker, the RS 9.8. Better yet, the pairs will be dropping in full-family sizing, because there’s nothing like parents pushing their own childhoods onto their own kids, right?
Take a peep at both pairs below, each adorning co-branded tongues and insoles, along with signature block detail on the heel panels and forefoot Tetris detail. OG gamers can get their hands on pairs in men’s and kids sizing on October 17th, 2019, from select stores like Finish Line, as well as directly from PUMA.com
