Skepta's PUMA Skope Mid Returns in 'Flat Grey'

Skepta has been relatively quiet over the last two months. The legendary grime artist has been focused on his Mains fashion line, as well as other undisclosed endeavors, but he's recently lifted his head to release another style of his PUMA Skope Mid collaboration.

A taller, boot-like counterpart to the Skope project that debuted on May 18, 2024, the mid-top PUMA launched last November. Skepta himself unveiled the silhouette during his press run for the original Skope, mentioning that it was a sample that could eventually see a public release. The debut style of the Skope Mid indulged in its outdoors-inspired aesthetic, donning a brown nubuck upper. Underfoot, the techy, aggressive sole unit kept things simple in black and chrome, which has inspired the model's latest ensemble.

Set to drop before the month ends, a 'Flat Grey/PUMA Black' color combination has recently appeared on Skepta's design. The upper replaces fabric material for plush leather. Mesh bases still deliver breathability, complementing not only the pitch-dark overlays atop it, but also the silver hardware along the tongue. The PUMA PG Patent golf shoe-like top-half sits on a rugged outsole that doubles-down on the 'PUMA Black' update. Glossy details across the mid-foot and heel round out the sole unit, while contrasting green laces inject some more personality into the reserved color palette.
