BSTN x Reebok Question Mid “Bethel High” Honors Allen Iverson’s High School
The basketball world was forever changed when Allen Iverson burst onto the scene in the late 90s, sporting his signature cornrows, arms full of ink, flashy handles, and an attitude even bigger than his game. However, the legend of “Bubba Chuck” began long before his time at Georgetown and the NBA. Iverson first made a name for himself as a dual-sport athlete at Bethel High School in Hampton, Virginia, where he excelled on the football and basketball courts.
Now, in a nod to Iverson’s high school days, BSTN has partnered with Reebok to release a new iteration of the iconic Reebok Question inspired by the legend’s time at Bethel High. The shoe features a colorway that mimics the Hampton City School’s signature palette, with a bright yellow jersey mesh on the left foot and a green nylon fabric on the right, both inspired by Iverson’s football jersey. The heel tabs also feature Iverson’s high school numbers of #10 and #3.
The upper of the shoe is made of a crisp white, tumbled leather with a mesh tongue, providing a blank canvas for the yellow and green accents to stand out. The shoe’s design also includes a suede green toe cap, similar to the recently reissued “Michigan State” counterpart. Both the streetwear label and Reebok’s logos receive a yellow trim, with a BSTN hang tag and lettering along the greyscale lace loops. The shoe is finished with an icy blue sole unit.
