Reebok Answer IV “Hot Rod” Arrives May 21st

Last seen in late 2012, Allen Iverson’s Reebok Answer IV has been one of those retros in high demand for a reissue from a small handful of diehard fans. And with the return of the OG White/Red/Grey jawn on April 14th, we can expect to see a handful of flow-on colorways both new and old. This one fits the former category, a motorsport-inspired Reebok Answer 4 “Hot Rod”, that incorporates both a retro dragster aesthetic with a handful of Bubba Chuck’s personal ink marks.

Arriving anchored in jet black tumbled leather and matching sole units, the pair revs up at the sweeping heel-to-toe overlays in a classic Hot Rod flame-and-purple detail. Going in-hand with the theme is “Iverson Racing” tongue embroidery and insole insignia, while more personal motifs — Iverson’s body art — is referenced at the toe, heel, and strap, the latter a nod to his near and dear Cru Thik. Completing the design is smooth leather finishes at the tongue tip and rear pull, gradient I3 midfoot motifs, and purple and orange detail underfoot.
