With the NBA off-season taking place in the Summer, it’s really no surprise that fishing has become a favorite pastime for many of the league’s stars. We get it, though; sun, beers, and no one else around? What more could you ask for? And while Paul George and Kawhi Leonard may be the league’s most notable active fishermen, it’s really nothing new—Hall of Famer Allen Iverson has proclaimed his love for the sport on many occasions. The 2001 NBA MVP grew up fishing in the James River near his hometown of Newport News, Virginia, and has been mentioned to media outlets that he has aspirations of becoming a professional fisherman one day. Reebok knows (and so do we) that anything’s possible for AI — and they might be foreseeing a future career here with this upcoming sneaker collaboration, the Nice Kicks x Reebok Question “Bubba Chuck”

Previewed by former Jordan Brand NRG designer Frank Cooker, first looks at the “Bubba Chuck” Reebok Question shows a design inspired by Iverson’s off-court love of fishing. Of course, Cooker is a storyteller, so he went a little in-depth into the ACG-like design which is highlighted by glow-in-the-dark detailing, which Cooker says is a nod to the “elusive characteristics of a tactical lure.” Specs of the special seeding packaging show incredible inclusions like tackle box packaging, bait and licensing, fishing hat, and die-cut stickers.
