Reebok Mixes Past And Present With The DMX Elusion 001 FT

Reebok’s DMX series continues to push the envelope in design, each arriving more audacious and daring than the last. Further distancing itself from its retro aesthetic is the new DMX Elusion 001 FT — whose namesake is as futuristic and mechanical as its design. Aggressive and organic at the same time thanks to its zig-zagging lines and curved bellies, the pair opts for a segmented upper of neoprene and mesh. The latter hits the toe, while tongue shrouds and rear booties are primed in neoprene finishes for foot-hugging comfort. Supportive architecture at the midfoot works with the adjustable midfoot and ankle straps as well as a unique lacing system that rises eyelets higher at the toe than at the ankle. All of this is held at the heel, and locked into the midsole by-way-of a translucent-purple plastic piece that works it’s way down the segmented midsole like a lightning bolt. Capping off the design is a blue-tinted DMX cushioning in the rear, and a matching blue Vector print at the tongue.
