Reebok's DMX Series 3000 Is Rooted in '90s Performance; Available Now
It's not often that a brand-new sneaker evokes the type of public response that swiftly cements it within a pantheon that's been well-established. Yet, that's exactly what happened with the Reebok DMX Series 3000, a modern proposal rooted in the disruptive running sneakers of the 1990s.
Spearheaded by Abi Ramos, Footwear Designer at Reebok, the project revisits heritage laid out by the original DMX Miramar, reinterpreting it for the modern era. The result is a robust build that sees a retro-inspired, busy upper sitting atop a beefed-up sole unit. Three pods of DMX tech take over the heel, moving air around with every step; ultra-responsive DMX Comfort+ foam appears throughout the midsole, ensuring the dual-cushioning setup is ready for everyday use.
The DMX Series 3000's aesthetic and inaugural color options make the sneaker feel contemporary and retro all-at-once. Its bold look disrupts the current footwear landscape, which sees consumers preferring thin-soled, low-profile silhouettes.
Enjoy a look at the initial DMX Series 3000's pairs ahead. All styles are now available via Reebok.com for $130 each.
