There's a lot going on over at Reebok. Since its departure from the Three Stripes' umbrella company, the heritage brand has been finding its footing. On Feb. 13, the company reenters the performance-basketball space it once dominated with the Engine A.

Previously unveiled by the Chicago Sky's Angel Reese, the Reebok Engine A is the brand's first performance-basketball sneaker in over 10 years. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, the Massachusetts-based company was a mainstay on the hardwood thanks to NBA superstars like Allen Iverson. The brand experimented with modern technologies for shoes co-signed by John Wall, but failed to capture the magic from its past. Reese, however, has played in the new silhouette as she waits for her own signature model (slated for a launch in 2026), demonstrating that Reebok can still compete with the best of them.

Set to debut in a futuristic 'Black/Silver' colorway, the Reebok Engine A abandons the DMX and Zig cushioning of the past. Instead, the low-top silhouette introduces Energy Return System technology (ERS) and SuperFloat foam. The setup is visible through the multi-directional outsole underfoot. A TPU shank reinforces the tooling, delivering a stable experience to hoopers. The one-piece molded synthetic upper provides reliable containment in a lightweight (and stylish) package.

Enjoy official photos of the Engine A below. The basketball sneaker is set to debut in a 'Silver' colorway on Thursday, Feb. 13, via Reebok.com. The shoe is priced at a budget-friendly $120.
