There’s More Colorways Arriving for the 25th Anniversary of the Instapump Fury
The Reebok Instapump Fury is still, 25 years after it’s the first release, one of the most unique offerings in the sneaker world. A testament to designer Steven Smith and the Reebok Advanced Concepts team, its “pump-to-fit” technology in place of laces, its cut-out, wildly styled upper, and its two-piece midsole featuring DMX cushioning somehow hasn’t aged. Its timeless abstract design is instantly recognizable, which has helped the silhouette build a back catalog of marquee collaborations from the likes of BAPE and Vetements. Hell, it’s even wound up in the Design Museum of London.
Calling it iconic would be an understatement
An after yesterday’s re-release of the OG “Citron” colorway, two new renditions of the Reebok classic have surfaced. Grab a detailed look at the red/white/grey and Philadelphia Eagles-inspired pairs below, and look out for more incoming Instapump colorways to arrive over the course of the 25th-anniversary celebration in 2019.
