Reebok Celebrate All-Star Weekend With a UNC-Flavored Iverson Legacy
The Legacy lives on.
You may forget just how big Reebok was in the 80s and 90s. Before Nike blew up the sports endorsements age of the mid-90s, Reebok was killing the game with things like Pump technology, and linked to big personality athletes like Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson. The latter found his way at Reebok through the end of their popularity lifecycle, and his signature series was one of the last big things Reebok did on the NBA hardwood.
But while the ‘Bok has been absent from the feet of league stars since, their retro catalog of Iverson signature sneakers has kept the nostalgia afloat — the latest to join the mix is this Hybrid pair, which combines the Question Mid, Answer 1, Answer 2, Answer 3, and Answer 4. Perfect for any AI fan, the hybrid comes with callouts to the past, including soft leather uppers and DMX cushioning midsoles. The colorway for the All-Star weekend celebration pairs white and Athletic Blue, a shade similar to that worn by the local UNC. But to keep it feeling more like an OG colorway, fine hits of Philly-red are found between the upper’s join, on the branding and underfoot.
Pairs will hit Reebok.com and during an event at DTLR in Charlotte February 16th. If you’re local to Charlotte tomorrow, A.I. will be in attendance, so be sure pop in and catch a glimpse of greatness.
