This November, Reebok is primed to launch a three-pronged “Alternate Pack” that focuses its efforts on three heritage hoops options. Headlined by the Kobe “Yellow Toe” PE, the trio homage era-specific alternate uniforms of the late 1990s and early 2000s. The Kobe Question and Shawn Kemp’s Kamikaze will be joined by a third option, the Reebok Question Mid, which pays tribute to Philadelphia’s revamped team look that debuted in 1997. Of course, the fresh era of swagger was lead by uniform-rule-changer Allen Iverson on his way to the 2001 NBA playoffs, which made the “Shooting Star” 76ers jersey a worldwide streetwear staple.
The alternate (black) jersey is honored here, most notably on the pair’s reworked #3 motifs that now feature the famous shooting ball logo. The smooth black leather upper is met at the toe and heel with golden suede in ode to the logo’s Basketball icon, while red accentuations at the piping, Vector logos, tongue stitching, and HEX windows mimic the trim found on the famous jerseys. Completing the design is a clean white midsole, a hardwood-tinted rubber outsole, and special-edition graphic insoles.
