Despite being a life-long fan of the franchise, Allen Iverson undoubtedly caused a stir amongst his faithful Philly fans when he and Reebok dropped a Dallas Cowboys Question Mid. His support of Dallas is a lesser-known fact of the Hall of Famer, but regardless of his NFL affiliation, he still holds significant influence over the city. So much so, that he and the Vector brand are somewhat forced to deliver an Eagles rendition of the sneaker, too — and that they have, with the surfacing of this Reebok Question Mid “Philadelphia Eagles” for release next month.
Paying homage to Iverson’s love for football — albeit for the enemy — the pair pays tribute to the Birds’ classic Kelly Green, white and silver uniforms that the team wore from 1985 thru 1995. Uppers are equipped with an athletic white jersey-style mesh, he’s in place by a white leather mudguard and mid-panel. “Court Green” then wraps the pearlescent toe and heel overlays, while also featuring throughout the eyelets, lace trim, and Vector logos throughout. A light grey hue that mimics throwback football pants surrounds the green DMX cushioning units at the midsole and is also incorporated on the terry toweling liners to further champion the athletic theme. Iverson’s #3 badge is stamped onto the heel, again in a jersey-style numeral, and the pair is capped off with gridiron-graphic insoles — complete with stitched on jock tags.
Eagles fans haven’t had much to cheer about this year — actually, it’s been a horror year — so hopefully these will bring Philly fans some early Christmas cheer when they drop on Reebok.comas the clock ticks over from midnight into December 4th for $140.
