With an abundance of Chinese New Yearfootwear options for 2020 already leaked, it’s highlighted one glaringly obvious fact: people don’t like rats. Not one — and there are at least 20+ pairs out there — features the furry rodent, in which its Zodiac year we’re about to enter. We get it — they’re despised (for no reason at all, mind you) — and it’s not an ideal motif for modern-day footwear. Enter Reebok Classics, who have managed to tastefully mimic the condemned creature’s appearance on the retro Shaqnosis silhouette.
The hypnotic design made for Diesel back in 1996 has been delicately upgraded with shaggy suede panels in varying shades of grey to match the rodent’s exterior fur, while matching grey mesh collars and reflective heel overlays and off-white laces complete the upper. Underfoot you’ll find the aggressive outsole colored in sail and cream, with a handful of dull orange pops.
