It’s back. The original mindfuck that is the Reebok Shaqnosis will return to retailers as soon as this month — and OG heads around the globe are celebrating with a Shaq shimmy.
Widely regarded as the boldest sneaker to ever hit the hardwood, the polarizing pair was a perfect match for the league’s biggest personality. Its wild spiraling design in high contrast black and white was the only original colorway in which it released, first debuting at retail in late 1995, although it wasn’t worn by Shaq until 1996 — all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals where his Orlando Magic was trounced by Michael Jordan’s 72-10 Chicago Bulls.
The hypnotizing hardwood classic has been retro’d a handful of times since 1996 — the last arriving circa 2013/14 (off memory) and is now scheduled to return this month, with Asian retailers receiving pairs for release before the year’s end, with a Stateside release to follow shortly after. While we wait on more details, take a peep at the fresh new official image set below, and with more info sure to arrive over the next few days, make sure you’re watching our Twitter feed for further updates.Update 01.08.20 After releases in regions like Canada and New Zealand last month, pairs of Shaq’s OG Reebok Shaqnosis has finally arrived, with pairs available right now, right here on SNS.com for $140.
