Nice Kicks Give the Kamikaze II Low an NBA Jam Overhaul
Reebok is pulling out all the stops for the Kamikaze II’s 25th anniversary, with the 1996 design returning in OG and new colorways alike — including both the original All-Star ’96 pair worn by Shawn Kemp and a special “Siesta” colorway that celebrated those uniforms. Also that year, Shawn found himself on the cover of NBA Jam Extreme, a follow up frame for the hugely successful video game franchise. Never to let an opportunity like this slide, Reebok has tapped a long-time collaborator for this special-edition Shop Nice Kicks x Reebok Kamikaze II Low “NBA Jam”
Decking out the design in the signature franchise hues of black, teal, purple, and red, the pair then proffers arguably the game’s most memorable visual cue — TV static — across its zig-zagging overlays and midsoles. There are retro-inspired Nice Kicks logos at the tongue, and vivid red Reebok Vectors at the forefoot — it even features Shawn’s stamp of approval (his signature) at the medial ankle to complete the design.
