Austin Reaves Drops Rigorer AR2 “HBK” With KICKS CREW

With the NBA Playoffs heating up, Austin Reaves and Rigorer are keeping things moving with the release of a new AR2 colorway. Dubbed the “HBK,” the pair celebrates the Los Angeles Lakers guard’s rise to prominence, landing in time for the postseason with a global release via KICKS CREW.

Short for “Hillbilly Kobe,” Reaves’ well-known nickname, the new AR2 “HBK” honors the guard’s small-town roots. The design features warm wheat tones and rustic accents that nod to the fields and grain stacks of his Arkansas hometown—the very place his NBA dream first took shape.

The Rigorer AR2 debuted in December 2024 as a follow-up to Reaves’ first signature shoe, continuing the butterfly theme to mark his evolution from promising rookie to dependable playoff performer. The “HBK” pair is engineered with a woven Butterfly Wing upper for lockdown and breathability, an upgraded Showtime Foam Tech midsole for high energy return, and a TPU plate for increased midfoot rigidity. Additional heel and lateral support ensure that the shoe is ready for rapid movements and aggressive cuts on the hardwood.
